Sauti Kuu Golf Project
Empowering Rural Youth Through the Game of Golf
At Sauti Kuu Foundation (SKF), we believe in creating Opportunities Unlimited! for children and young people in rural Kenya — helping them recognise and use their local resources to build sustainable, independent futures.
The Sauti Kuu Golf Project is one of our newest initiatives, designed to empower disadvantaged youth through golf — a sport that instils discipline, confidence, focus, and teamwork. What began on our football pitch in rural Western Kenya has now grown into a structured youth golf training program with real-course experience, mentorship, and life skills development.
Launched in October 2025, the Sauti Kuu Royal Golf Project builds on nearly two years of grassroots golf training at the Sauti Kuu Foundation Centre in Alego, Siaya County. The project gives children and youth from rural, underprivileged backgrounds — aged 8 to 20 years — the opportunity to explore a sport rarely accessible in their communities.
Currently, 26 young golfers (6 girls and 20 boys) participate in regular golf sessions, learning not just athletic skills, but also discipline, focus, and teamwork. Despite limited equipment, their passion and commitment have been extraordinary. Under the guidance of our golf coaches, participants train weekly at Sauti Kuu. These sessions provide valuable experiences and mentorship that build both skill and confidence.
The project is transforming perceptions — showing that golf can be inclusive, empowering, and accessible to all.
Through the Sauti Kuu Royal Golf Project, we aim to:
- Empower children through structured golf training and life skills education.
- Provide access to golf equipment, facilities, and professional coaching.
- Build essential life skills such as confidence, discipline, teamwork, and focus.
- Create pathways for youth to participate in competitive golf.
- Promote inclusivity by breaking stereotypes that golf is only for a privileged few.
How You Can Help
Your support can make a lasting difference in shaping the next generation of young golfers — and future leaders. Here’s how you can get involved:

Help our young golfers gain official recognition and access to structured tournaments and development programs across Kenya. - Provide Golf Kits, Attire, Clubs, and Accessories
Equip our youth with proper gear — including clubs, shoes, gloves, and clothing — to ensure they can train and compete safely and confidently. - Support Weekly Training
Sustain regular sessions at Sauti Kuu that build technique, consistency, and teamwork. - Fund Mentorship Clinics
Two advanced training sessions per term — one completed in October, one pending in November — to refine skills and inspire excellence. - Sponsor Visits to a Golf Course
Provide opportunities for real-course play — essential for developing confidence and competitive readiness.
Join Us in Creating Opportunities - Your support helps us turn dreams into opportunities, one swing at a time.
The Sauti Kuu Golf Project is more than a sports program — it’s a movement to open doors, nurture confidence, and prove that potential has no boundaries.
